Welcome back to another exciting year of Jaguars Football. As Head Coach of the Jaguars Football Program, I couldn’t be more proud of where we are today. The members of our teams have been working hard, not just during the summer, but all year long to create a memorable season. For those who attended any of our pre-season passing league games, you have witnessed not just a change in strategy, but a change in attitude. The Pride is back!

This year, we expect our fans to be treated to a much more competitive season than in recent years. While it’s never a good idea to predict an outcome, we know that the effort extended by our team will be second-to-none! We are fortunate to have improved leadership, both on the field and from the sidelines. Twenty-six returning seniors will lead the game play. No other team in our league can boast that many returning seniors. The coaching staff and I had difficulty narrowing down the selections for “Jags to Watch.” Traditionally, that selection was limited to ten. This season, we have so many talented leaders we were forced to extend the selectees to twelve and probably could have added a dozen more. The boys have been in the weight room since last December, making us stronger physically and mentally.

From the sidelines, we’ve added new coordinators on both sides of the ball, a new receivers coach, a new line coach, and an entirely new freshmen coaching team. With the talent we’ve compiled on and off the field, we expect a successful season.

Finally, there is no question that we cannot have a successful program without the involvement and support of our parents. I want to thank each of you for allowing your sons to be a part of our program and the sacrifices you’ve made to ensure the success of this season. Some of you have even postponed or cancelled summer vacations to allow for our busy summer schedule. As a Head Coach, this commitment means a lot and it is very much appreciated.

I hope to see you all our there, filling the stands at each game and cheering us on. We may not win every game, but you will see effort on every play. If we are not in possession of the ball, we will be in active pursuit of it. We will play until the final whistle. We will dig deep to use the last bit of energy and effort within us. Together, we will make this a memorable season.

Jaguars Fans: The PRIDE is back!

Thank you,
